Traci Chance-Creator of Chance Treasures is inspired by all things nature! Having grown up in a heavily wooded area in the suburbs of Chicago, my interest in nature started at a young age. I grew up in a house with a large yard, lots of trees and wild flowers. Whether it was picking the wild flowers and arranging them in vases around the house for my mom, admiring pine cones, or collecting rocks; I was always inspired by the beauty and diversity of nature. 
Mom made the suggestion that I become a Horticulture major at Joliet Junior College, after high school graduation. I took that suggestion and ran with it! I graduated From JJC with 2 AS degrees. Floral Design and Green House Management and Production; both of which influence my art work greatly!
Now I said that I like nature correct?? I am inspired by it, but I do not like the cold! I moved to Central Florida, not long after graduating from JJC. I started working for a large company in the Horticulture department. My off times from work included many trips to the beach where I became an avid collector of Sea shells, and once again inspired by the beauty and diversity of those treasures from the Sea!
I have been working in Horticulture for 30+ years and still work for the same company. I am now in a position where I am allowed to use my imagination and creativity to do my work , not just in Horticulture, but my inspiration for my art work here on this web site.
